UNITED AGAINST RACISM invites you to a solidarity walk to mark the World Refugee Day.

“20 June – World Refugee Day, international observance observed June 20th each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.”

Refugees are walking thousands of miles. What they leave behind are their dreams, their hopes, and their loved ones… Some dead, some alive… They march for reasons that anyone of us would do so.

What they face are border fences, armed patrols, deadly seas, ‘fortress Europe’ policies and deportation centres. For many, the long ‘journey of hope’ turns into further misery at European borders.

There are two Europes, one that shuts down the borders to refugees, the other one that welcomes them.

Come and join the second Europe.

March from the GPO to the European Commission Representation in Ireland in solidarity with the refugees. March in solidarity with the refuges.

Assemble at the GPO, 18.30, followed by a march to the European Commission Representation in Ireland, Europe House / 12-14 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2

Bring banners, placards and your legs in solidarity with the marching refugess.
