Justice for Moïse Kabagambe
Stop the racist killings!
Root out Institutionalised Racism!
Solidarity with Brazilian People
We have been informed by our members in Dublin of the recent murder of Moïse Kabagambe in Rio de Janeiro. We note that this brutal murder is not an isolated event but rather part of a pattern of racist violence and killing which goes back over many years but which has been growing worse in recent years.
We say that the murder of Moïse Kabagambe must be Brazil’s George Floyd moment, the moment to say clearly that Black Brazilian Lives Matter!
We at United Against Racism urge you to convey to your government our solidarity with the widespread anti-racist protests in Brazil and our insistence that this situation be urgently addressed.
There must be justice for Moise Kabagambe. There must be no impunity for racist murderers who must be held to account. There must be a fundamental review of the practices of the police in this regard. There must be determined public campaign against racism of all kinds in all aspects of Brazilian society.
We say: Stop the racist killings! Root out institutionalised racism!
All welcome!
